PICO YOUTH & FAMILY CENTER, Rally to Santa Monica City Hall
WHY: City Officials are proposing to cut ALL funding for the next four years, 2015-19 to the City’s most effective and culturally relevant youth & family program in the Pico Neighborhood of Santa Monica. This political attack comes at the heels of when the nation is witnessing a widening disconnect between low income residents of color and local governments. PYFC is asking for only $190,000 which represents only 0.038% of the entire $500 Million City budget.
