THE FORGOTTEN ONES : NOV 17TH @ THE CHRISTINA CULTURAL ARTS CENTER

Our city still has a serious problem with gun violence. The problem is so large that we often forget about many of our citizens who have been victims of gun violence. This show is called The Forgotten Ones and our goal is to make this a yearly fundraiser for those we have forgotten. For the inaugural year of this event, we will raise money for LJ, the young man pictured in this flyer, who is the nephew of Willie Streets. This young man was shot in the head two years ago and the family is in a constant struggle to cover his medical bills. EVERY. SINGLE. DOLLAR. raised by your presence will go directly to the family. The event will feature the best of what our wonderful city has to offer: Frontline MuZik, Aziza Nailah, Jahiti Brownfish, and The Wilmington Children’s Chorus will all be performing on this date. I will be closing the event with a performance including my full band. I am so excited to be able to use my art to serve in such a capacity and I can’t wait to see our ENTIRE community come out to support LJ and his family. SO many people have offered thoughts and prayers (which have been welcome), but we need your action. Sunday, November 17th at 3pm at Christina Cultural Arts Center for The Forgotten Ones.
