LOS PLENEROS DE LA 21 : JULY 11TH AT THE DELAWARE ART MUSEUM
The Grammy Nominated Los Pleneros de la 21 (LP21) are vanguards of Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena, since 1983 they have toured the world, presenting their distinct sound of Puerto Rican roots music highlighted with fresh contemporary sounds, and on July 11th at the Delaware Art Museum they will be followed by Wilmington own DJ Willie Wilmington with a dance after party until 11pm.

Los Pleneros de la 21 is a premier East Harlem-based performing ensemble and non-profit community organization founded in 1983. Having toured extensively both nationally and internationally for over three decades, ‘LP21’ is considered by many as New York’s preeminent Bomba and Plena ambassadors to the world, bringing Puerto Rican culture to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Latin America, Australia, Berlin, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kremlin (former Soviet Union) and countless other international cities and prominent venues.
