Chilo Cajigas teaches global studies and government to Brooklyn high school students. He is a founding member of the award winning poetry collective, El Grito de Poetas,. He has featured at such legendary venues, events and institutions as the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, NYU, Yale, Princeton, Lincoln Center, The Apollo Theater, and the Newport Jazz Festival. He has recorded 12 Hip Hop albums and is featured in the contemporary poetry anthologies “No Me Habla Con Acento”, “The BX Files” and his own “Closed Doors and Opened Windows”. In 2015, Chilo was featured on episode 9 of the first season of the TV series, “Puerto Rican Voices” as well as appearing on the Grammy Winning “The Offense of the Drum” album by Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra.
A multi-instrumentalist and Long Island native, B.O.K. began humbly composing songs around 2006. Now based in NYC, today he continues to develop his craft and expand his discography, combining flavors of hip hop, funk, reggae, jazz, and rock in an organic, soulful blend. Utilizing live guitar, drums, bass guitar, turntablism and heavy automation throughout his productions, B.O.K. showcases a diverse musical taste, and an ability to merge genres seamlessly.
